Affirm, a remote-first company, seeks a Batch Developer Experience engineer to help make batch development faster and more reliable. You will partner with product and infrastructure engineers to build tools that streamline workflows and improve the reliability of critical batch workloads.

You will design, develop, and launch backend systems using Python or Kotlin, own components, and collaborate across product, design, analytics and operations.

Qualificações

• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Backend design, development and launch experience in Python or Kotlin.
• Familiar with distributed systems and related technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Able to translate simple problems into multi-component solutions with well-tested code.
• Comfortable navigating large codebases and participating in code reviews.
• Shows ownership of growth, seeking feedback from team and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication for global collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Break down projects into tasks, deliver in phases, and ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate across product management, design, and analytics on development lifecycle.
• Support operations and on-call activities; monitor and improve artifacts.
