Affirm, Inc. seeks a Backend Engineer to help design, develop, and deploy scalable backend systems using Python or Kotlin. You will work on distributed architectures, leverage AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes, and own components end-to-end.

Remote-first environment with nationwide flexibility. You will collaborate with product, design, and analytics, participate in growth opportunities, and contribute to reliable on-call practices while delivering high-quality code.

Qualificações

• 1.5+ years of software engineer experience.
• Backend design, development; proficient in Python or Kotlin.
• Experience with distributed systems and AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes.
• Write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
• Navigate large codebases and perform code reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.

Responsabilidades

• Break down projects into tasks, deliver in phases, collaborate for timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product mgmt, design & analytics in ideation and decisions.
• Support operations and availability by monitoring metrics and on-call work.
• Contribute to team growth through interview participation.
