Job summary

Sardine is hiring a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to bridge client needs with cutting-edge AI capabilities. You will embed with clients, architecting and deploying AI agents to combat fraud and automate complex workflows.

You will own end-to-end delivery, from requirements gathering to production rollout, and collaborate across engineering and product teams in a remote-first environment across the US and Canada.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Applied AI.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Ability to own the end-to-end solution lifecycle.
• Autonomous self-starter with strong business value focus.

Responsibilities

• Embed with clients to understand operational pain points and design AI-driven solutions.
• Train and deploy custom AI agents to prevent fraud and automate workflows.
• Refine prompts, perform fine-tuning, and evaluate agent performance for safety and reliability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to scale models into production and measure impact.
