Job summary

Zendesk is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to drive AI agent deployments and to architect data pipelines for customer success. You will own discovery, scoping, design, and production rollout while collaborating with client IT teams and Zendesk engineers.

The role demands deep AI fluency, strong coding fundamentals, and the ability to explain complex trade-offs to CTOs. Travel 25–50% may be required, with a flexible US remote/work model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production-grade coding experience.
• Proficiency in Python for AI/Data and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend.
• Experience with React UIs, REST/GraphQL APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployments of Zendesk AI Agents and LLM-powered workflows.
• Troubleshoot complex technical escalations beyond standard support.
• Design and code bespoke integrations and agents for strategic clients.
• Bridge customer needs with Zendesk Product/Engineering teams.
