The role involves travel within a 100-mile radius, potential overtime, and may require expert testimony. A PI license and NFPA certifications are preferred.

Applicants should have strong writing skills, integrity, and the ability to work remotely when needed while supporting clients with timely updates and professional service.

Qualifications

• Must have CFEI or CFI certification (preferred).
• Must hold or obtain a Private Investigator License within 60 days.
• Experience with fire origin and cause investigations.
• Good report writing and ability to testify as an expert when needed.
• Familiarity with NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely field visits to loss sites for cause-and-origin investigations.
• Provide honest, unbiased analysis and consultation on fires and explosions.
• Perform field studies and daily research; manage travel within 100 miles of office.
• Prepare detailed written reports and communicate timelines to clients.
• Potentially provide expert testimony and depositions; adapt to peak periods.
• Deliver excellent customer service and work with limited supervision.
