Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Security Systems Estimator to support sales and project staff by developing design and engineering solutions for CCTV, access control and related systems. You will create cost estimates, write scopes, attend site walks, and liaise between sales, project management and operations.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of relevant experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to interpret blueprints. Remote work is available within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Four to six years in a technical or construction field (CCTV, access control, intrusion, fire alarm, IP networks).
• Experience interfacing with customers and interpreting blueprints or project docs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple estimates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project-based accounting software.
• Valid driving standards per company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop design and engineering solutions for security systems and bid opportunities.
• Prepare cost estimates and write scope of work from bid specifications.
• Attend site walks and pre-bid meetings to inform estimates.
• Coordinate between sales, project management and operations during turnover.
• Ensure alignment of sales price with installation costs and vendor selections.
• Produce floor-plan takeoffs and project applications per guidelines.
