Job summary

Clair, Inc. is seeking a frontline support specialist to help users from signup through ongoing usage. You’ll be Clair’s internal detective, coordinating with product, tech, and partner teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

The role emphasizes empathy, clear communication, and a knack for numbers as users review earnings and pay options. This remote US-based position offers an hourly rate, benefits, and growth with Clair’s fintech mission.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer support role; Tier 2 or tech space experience is a bonus.
• Experience using Zendesk.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain complex concepts to customers.
• Aptitude for numbers to help customers with financial questions.
• Desire to understand hourly workers and the financial challenges they face to help Clair succeed.
• Excitement about joining an early fintech startup and learning all things EWA.
• Team player ready to work hard and contribute to a small, ambitious team.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions over phone, text and email, acting as a first line of support to our users, providing exceptional customer service in every interaction
• Become a product expert, understanding deeply everything from Clair's signup process, our wage advance (EWA) and repayment products
• Learn the ins and outs of earned wage advance support, expanding your knowledge of the on-demand pay space
• Work closely with a fantastic group of people invested in Clair's users and Clair's mission
