Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to support the Associate Director of Financial Reporting & Analytics. You will lead the Financial Analyst team, manage reporting deliverables, and build analytic tools to deliver firmwide insights.

The role requires a 4-year Finance degree, strong Excel and SQL skills, and experience in a law-firm finance context. The position may be remote or located at any firm office, with opportunities for growth and collaboration across offices.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Finance; certifications preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5 years’ managerial experience leading a team within a law firm preferred.
• Ability to analyze and interpret information from various sources; apply critical and creative thinking.
• Proficiency in data extraction and system management within enterprise data warehouse environments (ETL); knowledge of budget platforms.
• SQL proficiency required; strong Excel and Power BI skills; SSRS a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational abilities.
• Strong initiative and self-motivation; attention to detail; ability to collaborate across the firm.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop Financial Analysts; oversee workload prioritization and professional development.
• Assist in firmwide financial and statistical reporting, including leadership reports and Executive Board materials.
• Maintain and enhance reporting dashboards; ensure data accuracy across systems.
• Prepare partner statistics (compensation, new partners) for review by leadership.
• Coordinate and manage budget, forecasting, revenue/expense projections, and internal target analysis.
• Translate strategic initiatives into measurable metrics and track performance across firm and SBUs.
• Coordinate external surveys; ensure timely data collection.
• Oversee internal reporting controls and monthly data integrity checks.
• Conduct financial analysis related to firm, offices, SBUs, clients/matters, and timekeepers.
