LHH is seeking a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting professional for a growing publicly traded company with an active acquisition strategy. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior-level exposure.
• Strong technical accounting experience, including research and interpretation of FASB, SEC guidance.
• Experience with complex debt and equity instruments and transactions.
• Experience with business combinations, purchase accounting, and acquisition-related accounting.
• Experience preparing technical accounting research and memos.
• Strong public accounting or public-company accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Public-company, IPO, and SEC reporting experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research technical accounting issues and provide preliminary guidance and conclusions to finance leadership.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda related to complex transactions and accounting matters.
• Support the implementation of new accounting standards and accounting policies, including research and peer analysis.
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations related to consolidations, eliminations, stock-based compensation, business combinations, equity instruments, and debt and interest.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and support SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
• Support financial statements and pro forma information related to significant acquisitions and other public-company reporting requirements.
• Prepare internal management reporting and financial analyses.
• Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits by external accounting firms.
• Evaluate the accounting implications of acquisitions and other complex corporate transactions.
• Participate in special projects and other technical accounting initiatives as assigned.
