Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a Manager for its Accounting Advisory practice to manage multiple client relationships on technical accounting and SEC reporting projects. The role offers remote flexibility and travel to client sites as needed.

You will lead GAAP/IFRS reviews, guide close processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. A CPA with 5+ years in public accounting or industry is required, along with strong communication and project leadership. Travel up to 40% is expected.

Qualifications

• CPA certification and accounting degree required.
• Minimum five years of public accounting and/or industry experience with audit, controllership, or consulting for SEC-registered public companies or private equity-backed firms.
• Experience with technical accounting matters and GAAP/IFRS knowledge.
• Experience with month-end close and quarterly reporting processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% for client sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial close processes and improve close efficiency.
• Support cash-to-accrual transitions, opening balance sheet, and purchase accounting.
• Assist with audit readiness and preparation of statements and schedules for filings.
• Lead technical accounting projects (ASC 480/606/718/805/815/842) and SEC reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, reconciliations, and schedules for 10-Q/10-K.
