Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking a Financial Coordinator to support payment posting and cash application in a mainly work-from-home role with on-site visits as needed. Based in Burr Ridge, IL, this full-time position supports the Patient Inquiry and Vendor Management department.

The role requires strong data entry, Excel, and Windows skills, with at least two years in a data entry capacity. You will batch postings, balance vouchers, review EDI, and ensure timely deposits and payments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Windows and Excel for data entry and ledger reconciliation.
• Ability to perform 8,000 keystrokes per hour and type 25 wpm.
• Strong mathematical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Post payment batches to BHIS and other areas; reconcile ledgers in Excel.
• Batch and balance vouchers (IDPA, collection agencies).
• Balance Lockbox/Cashiering deposits and prepare ledger spreadsheets.
• Review EDI vouchers and balance to actual wired amounts; log in Excel.
