UChicago Medicine is seeking a Patient Access Manager in the Rev Cycle Admin Department. This role oversees front-line Patient Access operations, including registration, eligibility verification, authorization, and financial clearance, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and patient-centered service.

The position offers a Flexible Remote arrangement based in the greater Chicagoland area, with onsite need as required.

Formación

• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred.
• Education: High school diploma required; Associates degree in a business or accounting function, or the equivalent is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
• Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of prior revenue cycle experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct oversight of daily operations, staffing, productivity, training, coaching, performance management, workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance while ensuring consistent standards across Patient Access functions.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of health insurance plans, payer requirements, benefit structures, and authorization guidelines, with proficiency in utilizing payer tools to verify eligibility, benefits, network status, and authorization requirements.
• Serves as escalation point for complex or high-risk cases, resolving payer disputes and precertification/insurance verifications issues, partnering with clinical, Revenue Cycle, IT, and other leaders to improve workflows.
• Monitors operational performance through KPIs, work queues, audits, denials, and other metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Develops departmental workflows, SOPs, and staff education programs to support evolving payer requirements and regulatory changes.
• Fosters accountability, collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement across frontline teams.
