Job summary

PartsBase is seeking an accomplished Controller to serve as the senior accounting authority, overseeing US GAAP, tax provision, and audit readiness in a fully remote environment. You will manage the close process, supervise the accounting team, and partner with executive leadership to scale finance for a SaaS-centric business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• CPA license (required).
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including close, technical accounting, and external reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 740, and tax provisions.
• Experience supervising accounting teams and coordinating with external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee accounting for A/R, A/P, payroll, and intercompany activities with proper segregation of duties.
• Manage federal/state income tax provision under ASC 740 and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Lead multi-entity accounting and consolidation activities.
• Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies for SaaS and other streams.
