PartsBase Inc. is seeking a senior Controller for a fully remote role based in the United States.

You will lead accounting, reporting, tax, and audit, guiding a team and partnering with executive leadership to raise the quality of close processes and financial statements. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, deep GAAP and tax proficiency, and a forward-looking approach to AI-driven automation in finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and external financial reporting experience.
• Experience with ASC 606 and ASC 740 in SaaS/tech environments.
• Audit readiness and external audit leadership experience.
• Experience applying AI/automation in accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with journal entries, reconciliations, and GAAP statements.
• Oversee AR/AP/payroll, intercompany, and related reconciliations with proper controls.
• Manage federal/state income tax provision under ASC 740; coordinate with external advisors.
• Build audit readiness and serve as primary liaison to external auditors.
• Oversee revenue recognition under ASC 606 for SaaS/subscriptions and related assets.
• Lead multi-entity accounting/consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
• Document/update revenue/technical accounting policies; strengthen internal controls.
• Identify and implement AI/automation opportunities across finance workflows.
• Support system implementations (Sage Intacct to Workday) and automation tooling.
