Job summary

iPromo, a fast-growing promotional products distributor, seeks a Controller to own day-to-day accounting, close processes, and financial leadership in a fully remote role reporting to the CEO. You will tighten controls, clean up books, and build scalable processes for a high-growth environment serving enterprise clients and government agencies.

You will manage GL, AP/AR, inventory, and COGS, collaborate on budgeting, and drive accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in Controller or Assistant Controller role.
• Experience in hardgoods, physical products, or B2B distribution.
• Expert knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity/tax compliance.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets for financial modeling and data analysis.
• Experience managing AP/AR with 100+ suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close; produce P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements with variance analysis.
• Manage GL activity, journal entries, reconciliations; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Oversee AP/payables; manage vendor terms and large supplier base.
• Supervise AR, monitor aging, drive collections and credit policies.
• Maintain inventory valuation, landed costs, and proper COGS allocation.
• Calculate and audit sales commissions; align with quota plans.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, banking relationships, and payments.
• Coordinate tax filings with CPA; tax compliance across jurisdictions.
• Partner with CEO on budgeting and rolling forecasts; model scenarios.
• Improve systems and processes; implement ERP/CRM integrations.
• Establish internal controls and segregation of duties.
