Job summary

iPromo, a fast-growing promotional products distributor in the United States, seeks a Controller for a fully remote, CEO-facing leadership role. You will own close processes, GAAP compliance, and financial infrastructure while guiding 4 direct reports in a high-growth environment.

You will optimize inventory, margins, vendor terms, and commissions, partnering with operations and sales to deliver accurate reporting, strong controls, and scalable processes for rapid expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with 3+ years in a Controller role.
• Experience in hardgoods or B2B distribution and inventory accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close with KPI commentary.
• Manage GL activity, journal entries, and GAAP compliance.
• Oversee AP/AR, vendor base, and collections strategy.
• Maintain inventory valuation and COGS allocation across products.
• Coordinate tax filings and external audits with CPA firm.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and partnering with the CEO on plans.
• Improve financial systems and controls for a scalable business.
