Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced financial controllers to assist training an AI language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. This role is fully remote with flexible hours, ideally 5–20 hours per week, and starts ASAP.

Candidates should have 5+ years in corporate accounting, financial operations, or audit support, and be fluent in GAAP, PBC documentation standards, and spreadsheet-based control testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate accounting, financial operations, or audit support with close ownership.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and PBC documentation standards.
• Proven ability to craft expert-level documents and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close reconciliations and journal entry packages.
• Prepare audit request schedules and PBC documentation.
• Produce aging reports for accounts payable and receivable.
• Summarize budget-to-actual variances for management.
• Document internal control walkthroughs and SOX testing memos.
• Maintain vendor and expense audit trails.
