Job summary

Ethos is seeking an experienced financial controller to support training of a language model on professional documents, spreadsheets and slides. The role is fully remote, 5–20 hours per week, ASAP start, $80/hour, with responsibilities spanning monthly close, PBC docs, audit schedules, accounts payable/receivable, variance analyses, and internal controls testing.

Candidates should have 5+ years in corporate accounting or audit support, GAAP fluency, expert document and spreadsheet craftsmanship,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate accounting, financial operations, or audit support.
• Deep fluency in GAAP and PBC documentation standards.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship with strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate and refine AI-generated financial documents, spreadsheets and slides.
• Handle monthly close reconciliations and journal entry packages.
• Prepare audit request schedules, PBC documentation and SOX-related memos.
• Produce vendor and expense audit trails and variance summaries.
