Job summary

St. Michael's Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Financial Analyst to support a DHS client’s financial management office.

You will work in a client-facing role leveraging leadership, problem solving, and robust data analysis to support financial operations across DHS entities. You will develop and optimize reporting, data extraction, and financial modeling while collaborating with government personnel and a team of financial management experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related area (Business, Accounting, Finance).
• 3–10 years of financial/accounting experience, preferably federal government.
• Experience with Federal Financial Systems, including extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data.
• Ability to propose and develop efficient processes and implement tools (Robotics) nationwide.
• Active Public Trust Clearance (or higher) or ability to obtain one.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in teams.
• Ability to read/interpret management policy, regulations, and directives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate fee structure vs. service delivery and quantify impact on revenue and customers.
• Develop PowerBI and SAP financial system capabilities.
• Review system requirements and documentation.
• Develop internal SOPs and external presentation materials.
• Maintain trackers aligning orders with contract values.
• Reconcile contract values across financial systems for data accuracy.
• Prepare FMIS upload templates and track financial data.
• Support weekly implementation team meetings to identify needs.
