Talint's client, a management consulting firm supporting government organizations, seeks a Financial Analyst to support the United States Coast Guard. This onsite role in Chesapeake, VA requires an active DoD or DHS Clearance and 3+ years of federal financial management experience.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, financial reporting, audit readiness, and process improvements within a DHS/USCG environment.

Qualifikationen

• Active DoD or DHS Secret Clearance is required.
• 3+ years of experience in federal financial management, reporting, audit readiness, and reconciliations.
• Experience with financial statement reconciliation or accounting close in a federal environment is required.

• Perform reconciliations and analysis to support monthly, quarterly, and annual DHS financial reporting deliverables
• Investigate abnormal balances, general ledger discrepancies, and tie-point variances
• Prepare manual journal vouchers, topside adjustments, and audit-ready reconciliation packages
• Develop and maintain SOPs, desk guides, workpapers, and supporting documentation
• Support audit readiness, remediation activities, and responses to audit requests
• Assist with workflow optimization, reporting automation, dashboards, and recurring deadline management

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the United States Coast Guard. The right candidate will have 3+ years of professional experience in federal financial management, accounting, audit readiness, financial reporting operations, reconciliations, and financial analysis within the federal environment. This onsite role in Chesapeake, VA requires an active DoD or DHS Clearance.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Active DoD or DHS Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
• 3+ years supporting federal financial management, financial reporting, audit readiness, and reconciliation activities
• Experience with financial statement reconciliation or accounting close in a federal environment is required
• Experience supporting DHS and/or USCG financial reporting environments, preferred
• Advanced Excel skills including pivots, formulas, lookups, and data analysis
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
