Job summary

Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst, Level 1 to join its Sales Planning organization in a remote role.

The position focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across the business, supporting cross-functional teams and leadership. The successful candidate will prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, while developing KPIs and scoreboards to drive informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in finance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Highly analytical with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities; experience with general ledger accounting and monthly closing processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operational budgets in collaboration with the Director of Finance and leadership teams.
• Review budget presentations submitted by business units to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with operational leaders to establish budgets, revise forecasts, and explain financial results.
• Prepare quarterly budget revisions and weekly company forecasts.
• Develop monthly financial reporting packages for management review.
• Analyze business performance, income, expenses, earnings, balance sheets, and cash flow metrics.
• Support annual budgeting and long-range financial planning processes.
• Perform budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial scoreboards.
• Conduct data extraction, ad-hoc reporting, and project-based financial analysis.
• Provide financial recommendations based on historical trends and future projections.
• Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned.
