Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our National Security Sector. This fully remote role within the United States requires occasional visits to the Fairfax, VA office. You will assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and program cost control, collaborating with accounting and contracts teams to support multi-task orders.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in finance (program finance or FP&A), a basic understanding of CAS/FAR/GAAP, and strong Excel skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2–5 years in finance or program finance
• Experience in Finance roles (Program Finance, Project Control, or Financial Planning and Analysis)
• Foundational understanding of Government contracting concepts (CAS, FAR, GAAP)
• Proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, formulas)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Type) helpful
• Candidate may need DoD clearance; US citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reporting deliverables including program trend analysis and variance analysis
• Assist in quarterly forecasts and annual operating budgets
• Provide analysis of program drivers, risks, and opportunities
• Support month-end close processes including cost accruals and revenue recognition
• Monitor subcontracting spending and assist with voucher approvals
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and other back-office teams
