Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the National Security Sector. This position is fully remote within the United States, with occasional visits to Fairfax, VA noted.

The role focuses on timely financial reporting, variance analysis, annual budgets, and forecasting. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in finance, understanding of government contracting concepts, and strong Excel skills; DoW clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 2-5 years in a Finance role.
• Foundational knowledge of Government Contracting concepts (CAS, FAR, GAAP).
• Proficient in Excel with pivot tables and formulas.
• Strong verbal and written communication; collaborative team member.
• Familiarity with contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Type) helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reporting deliverables and variance analysis.
• Assist in managing large programs with multiple task orders and budgets.
• Provide analysis of program drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Support month-end close, cost accruals, and revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, and Procurement.
