Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Financial Analyst to support our National Security Sector. This role is fully remote within the United States, with an office in Fairfax, VA, and occasional visits as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years in a finance role (FP&A, program finance) and has foundational knowledge of government contracting (FAR/CAS/GAAP). Proficiency in Excel is required, and DoW clearance readiness is a consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years in a Finance role (Program Finance/FP&A)
• Foundational understanding of Government contracting concepts (FAR/CAS/GAAP)
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Familiarity with contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Type) is helpful

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate financial reporting deliverables and program trend analysis
• Support budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and annual operating budgets
• Analyze key drivers, risks, and opportunities for the program
• Prepare data for operational reviews and month-end close activities
• Monitor subcontracting spending and assist with voucher approvals
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and other back-office teams
