Advocate Health is offering a remote finance internship for the summer in Kansas. The role runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday.

Interns will use Excel to automate processes, review charge discrepancies, and assist in preparing financial analyses and budgeting activities. The position emphasizes data extraction, trend analysis, and supporting accountability across cost accounting and revenue cycle projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Management or a related field with junior or senior standing.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Use Excel to develop automated processes and minimize manual work.
• Review and analyze discrepancies in charges and assist in necessary changes for professional and hospital charges.
• Prepare financial and statistical analyses and extract data for trend calculations and performance measures.
• Support budgeting, cost accounting, and variance analysis; participate in pricing and reimbursement data.
• Assist revenue cycle projects and financial reporting tasks as needed.
