Job summary

Advocate Health is offering a remote internship in the Finance and Revenue Cycle area for May 31, 2027 to August 6, 2027. The student will work up to 40 hours per week, typically Mon-Fri during business hours, and will gain hands-on experience with budgeting, cost accounting and data analysis.

Currently pursuing a Finance, Accounting or related degree with junior/senior standing is required. Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and teamwork are essential, with no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Management or related field with junior or senior standing.
• Strong GPA (2.5+).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team and multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Use Excel to develop automated processes and reduce manual work.
• Review and analyze discrepancies in charges and implement necessary changes.
• Prepare financial and statistical analyses for Advocate Health and affiliates.
• Support budgeting, cost accounting, and reporting activities.
• Assist with revenue cycle projects and data extraction for trend analysis.
