Advocate Health is offering a remote internship for students pursuing a finance- or accounting-related degree. The internship runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week during Monday–Friday business hours. Eligible states include WV, and the role is remote.

Interns will develop automated Excel processes, review charges, and assist with financial analyses and budgeting activities across Advocate Health and its affiliates.

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Management or a related field with junior or senior standing.

Aufgaben

• Develop automated processes in Excel to minimize manual work.
• Review, analyze, and investigate discrepancies in charges and implement changes.
• Prepare financial and statistical analyses for Advocate Health and affiliates.
• Assist in data extraction and manipulation for trend calculations and performance measures.
• Help develop cost accounting standards and perform variance analysis.
• Participate in pricing development using costing methods and market analysis.
• Assist with budgeting processes and monitor operating and capital budgets.
• Support budgeting, finance, cost accounting and reporting functions.
• Apply government program rules and reimbursement information to financial activities.
• Perform charge reconciliation reviews and support revenue cycle projects.
• Track and update reports and assist with administrative duties.
