Job summary

MOVE Texas is seeking a Finance Operations Associate to manage day-to-day financial administration, payroll, and core accounting workflows in a remote, nonprofit setting. You will strengthen internal financial systems, support cross-team collaboration, and ensure compliant governance across the organization.

The role requires detail-orientation, strong judgment, and the ability to work across remote or hybrid teams within a statewide framework. A 32-hour hybrid model may apply in some contexts.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance operations, or non-profit administration.
• Proficiency with accounting software and expense management platforms.
• Solid understanding of AP/AR workflows and vendor management.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle sensitive donor, payroll, and financial data confidentially.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and invoices; manage vendor records and tax exemptions.
• Support revenue data entry and reconciliations with the Development team.
• Assist with month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, and budget reporting.
• Maintain compliance systems for 501(c)(3)/501(c)(4) legal separation.
• Prepare for annual audits and manage the finance calendar.
