Job summary

Arts FMS, a nonprofit financial management firm, seeks a Finance Associate to support multiple arts organizations nationwide. The role involves payroll, accounts payable, bank feeds, and month-end close, working closely with senior consultants in a fully remote environment.

You will engage with diverse clients, maintain accuracy across financial tasks, and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients to ensure timely, reliable reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of nonprofit accounting experience.
• Strong client service and relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication, especially in virtual settings.
• Proactive, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support three to ten client organizations with financial management tasks.
• Assist with payroll, bill pay, and bank feed maintenance as needed.
• Complete month-end close tasks and day-to-day financial operations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal documentation standards.
• Communicate proactively with Project Owner and clients to resolve issues.
