EquityTeam Property Management is seeking a Controller/Finance Manager to lead the finance and accounting function for a growing property management leader. This role blends hands-on financial operations with strategic oversight, supported by a remote-friendly team and strong process discipline.

You will oversee AP/AR, payroll, financial reporting, audits, and system enhancements while collaborating with leadership to sustain growth and profitability across our Cincinnati and Dayton markets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in property management, accounting, or real estate finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced experience and skills with QBO, Rentvine or other similar PM accounting software, STR software programs, Stripe.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills to partner effectively with leadership and team members.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial data management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with property managers and leadership to optimize financial performance.
• Oversee tenant billing, rent collections, and expense tracking.
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and financial audits as needed.
• Implement and improve financial systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
