Job summary

The Controller leads the accounting department, focusing exclusively on the financial operations of the properties. This role involves developing and managing the accounting team, communicating with stakeholders, working with auditors and ensuring accurate and efficient financial processes and reporting for each property we manage.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and staff development experience.
• Proven ability to improve accounting processes.
• 5+ years in accounting, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team in accurate reporting for each managed community.
• Oversee the internal financial statement review process for consistency and compliance.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance across communities.
• Ensure compliance with policies, controls and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and leadership to the accounting team.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and controls.
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and regulators.
