Job summary

EquityTeam, LLC is seeking a Controller / Finance Manager to lead financial operations for its Cincinnati/Dayton property management portfolio with a fully remote setup.

You will drive reporting, budgeting, controls, and strategic finance initiatives, partnering with property managers and leadership to improve performance and scale the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in property management accounting, real estate finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO), Rentvine, Paylocity, Stripe and other SaaS platforms.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Partner with property managers and leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Oversee tenant billing, rent collections, and expense tracking.
• Support audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
• Identify opportunities to enhance systems, streamline processes, and improve reporting accuracy.
