Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is hiring a Finance and Accounting Manager for a growing AI startup. You will oversee accounting across multiple entities, manage close processes, and partner with auditors, tax advisors, and leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and scalable processes.

The role requires a CPA with Big 4 and startup/private experience, a solid US GAAP foundation, and a hands-on approach to build automations and improve systems.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required; mix of Big 4 and startup/private experience.
• Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience in multi-entity environments is preferred.
• Background in AI/tech/SaaS industries is ideal.
• Proven ability to build automations and use AI for efficiency and accuracy.
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting activities across multiple entities with timely reporting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reconciliations.
• Support consolidated reporting and intercompany activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and providers.
• Manage cash, payroll, vendor payments, and treasury support.
• Assist with entity management and organizational reporting.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses for stakeholders.
