Job summary

Planet Green Search is seeking a Field Technician focused on commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting of lighting control systems for large construction projects, including AI data centers. This role is 100% remote-based with significant travel, preferably in the Dallas area of Texas.

The candidate will work primarily with NX Controls, with experience in Lutron, Crestron, Leviton, or Wattstopper as valuable.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience commissioning and programming commercial lighting control systems.
• Understanding of networked lighting controls, sensors, and zone-based programming.
• Ability to read control schematics, riser diagrams, and layouts.
• Strong documentation habits and process orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with field and corporate stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% domestically, with focus on Texas.
• Valid driver's license; able to work on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Commission, program, and troubleshoot lighting control systems on-site.
• Work with NX Controls; knowledge of Lutron, Crestron, Leviton, Wattstopper helpful.
• Diagnose control and network issues with electrical and general contractors.
• Maintain documentation of commissioning activities, tests, and issues.
• Communicate with field crews, project managers, and internal team.
• Represent the company professionally on construction sites.
• Support project closeout and handoff documentation.
