Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician – Industrial Bandsaws to troubleshoot end-user issues, perform minor repairs, alignments and calibrations, and support customers remotely from Michigan and beyond.

You will coordinate with Territory Account Managers, use SFDC to manage data, stay current with industry trends, and recommend cost-effective solutions that improve saw operation quality.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of equipment maintenance and repair experience or hands-on shop production background.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electric, pneumatic and mechanical systems is preferable.
• Technical and mechanical ability to work with tools and machines.
• Sales experience in industrial sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot end-user problems through repairs, alignment and calibration to achieve optimal product performance.
• Coordinate with Territory Account Managers to manage territory, develop opportunities and handle service requests.
• Use SFDC to collect and maintain data about products, machines, materials, end users, and accounts.
• Stay updated on industry trends by attending trade shows and seminars and learning about innovative technology.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot distributor welding equipment.
• Motivate distributors and keep sales personnel focused on technical services as a value-added offering.
• Identify end-user applications to provide cost-effective product recommendations for saw operations.
• Coordinate and implement technical product and application solutions that extend value to customers, consumers, and sales reps.
• Learn and apply Lenox Advantage, Site Survey Process and reporting tools.
• Convince customers of the value of LENOX products and demonstrate price vs. cost benefits.
