Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician C to support FAA programs in the Albuquerque area. The role involves installing and maintaining networking and telecommunication equipment at customer locations, with daily local travel within the assigned region.

You will work independently, communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and be available for on-call hours as needed. A valid US driver’s license and security clearances are required for this field position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 6+ years of relevant experience or 2+ years post-secondary with 2+ years related experience.
• Experience with fiber, Carrier Ethernet, Multiplexes, DACS, Routers/Switches, and related networking.
• Experience with cable connectors (RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449, BNC, 50-pin).
• Experience with power testing (AC/DC) and 24VDC/48VDC supplies, UPS, and grounding.
• DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and DOD Secret Clearance required.
• Valid Driver’s License and state REAL ID or equivalent; good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for FAA programs (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS) and related systems.
• Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customer sites.
• Work remotely in scheduled and on-call capacity within assigned area; occasional travel to remote sites as needed.
• Read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and task orders; document activities accurately.
• Coordinate with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk to resolve field issues by phone.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, stock, and vehicle; prepare tasks before dispatch.
