Job summary

Horace Mann is seeking an experienced Field Sourcing Recruiter to grow our Worksite Division network of captive 1099 agents. You will proactively source candidates, build talent pipelines, engage qualified prospects, and coordinate next steps with partner recruiters to keep momentum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of full-cycle 1099 recruiting experience.
• Experience sourcing passive and active candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter and other platforms.
• Experience using Greenhouse or similar ATS.
• Able to manage multiple requisitions while meeting recruiting metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies using Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Appcast, Wall Street Jobs, referrals, and other recruiting platforms.
• Maintain a high level of recruiting activity, generating a minimum of 25 qualified candidate conversations per week and advancing 7–8 candidates weekly to Field Leader interviews.
• Conduct candidate outreach, screening, and qualification to assess alignment with Horace Mann's agent opportunity.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and screening through offer acceptance and appointment.
• Meet annual hiring goals, including the appointment of a minimum of 40 agents per year.
