Job summary

ORR Protection is seeking a Field Solutions Manager to lead technical development and engineering support for fire alarm, suppression, and life safety projects. You will ensure designs meet codes and customer specs while guiding sales, operations, and field personnel from concept to completion.

You’ll mentor staff, review documentation, support commissioning, and collaborate with estimating on complex opportunities. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in firealarm, fire suppression, or life safety systems.
Experience with engineered fire protection systems.
Experience supporting field installation and commissioning.
Working knowledge of fire alarm systems, special hazard suppression systems, water-based fire protection systems, clean agent systems, detection technologies, smoke control, emergency communication systems, video fire detection, and BDA systems.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for firealarm, cleanagent, water-based suppression, specialhazard, and life safety system projects.
Review and approve engineered designs, drawings, calculations, and equipment selections.
Coordinate with designers and CAD personnel during project development.
Ensure compliance with NFPA, IFC, IBC, UL, FM, AHJ requirements, and manufacturer standards.
Mentor designers, project engineers, and field technicians.
Assist Operations with technical questions throughout project execution.
Support commissioning plans, acceptance testing, and final inspections.
Work with estimating and business development on technically complex opportunities.
