Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a Service Technician to expand our field service presence, delivering high-quality service to customers. Report to the Service Manager and work closely with customers to explain repair options while performing preventive maintenance and repairs on air compressors, dryers, and related systems.

The role involves on-site visits, travel to customer locations, and participation in a rotating on-call pool.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Customer-focused with ownership of customer needs.
• Proficient in using computers for work orders, parts ordering, and training.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers (regenerative and refrigerated), drains, controllers, low pressure blowers.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
• Learn advanced topics including VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment pads and surroundings.
• Communicate with customer and Service Manager about services and options for repairs or upgrades.
• Complete service-related documentation (reports, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, parts return documents).
• Attend training at Air Academy with Senior Service Technicians.
