Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a field service technician to safely perform maintenance and repairs on air compressors, dryers, gas generators, and related equipment at customer sites across the United States.

Extensive travel is required, including overnight trips. You will diagnose faults, document root causes, update work orders, provide clear PCA reports, and maintain equipment with a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of technical experience maintaining Atlas Copco air equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills in industrial equipment including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
• High School Diploma with technical training preferred.
• Must have completed at least Level 1 Air Academy training, and Level 1 or 2 training for primary equipment.
• Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism.
• Must be fluent in English and have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments with temperature extremes.
• Must reside within reasonable commute of the assigned territory and park a company vehicle at home if needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform routine maintenance and repairs on Atlas Copco equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning equipment, document root causes, and perform repairs.
• Document and discuss recommended repairs to maximize uptime and minimize downtime.
• Document all work in TimeClock Plus and provide detailed visit reports with PCA and customer signature.
• Develop rapport with customers and fellow technicians; conduct pre-call discussions.
• Provide basic tools and maintain them in good working order.
• Learn about VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
• Manage time effectively and work independently; follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team and participate in on-the-job training.
