Job summary

Copeland is hiring a Field Service Specialist I for remote US work, supporting installation, start-up, and commissioning of control systems in commercial environments. This entry-to-intermediate role involves field exposure, travel, and hands-on support under supervision.

The position requires 1–3 years in refrigeration/HVAC or controls, an associate degree or equivalent, and travel up to 85–90%. Sponsorship is not provided for US work authorization.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or control systems.
• Associate degree or equivalent technical training in HVAC/R, Electrical, or Mechanical disciplines.
• Basic understanding of refrigeration systems, control logic, and building automation.
• Travel up to 85-90%.
• Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic on-site installation, start-up, and verification of Copeland Retail Solutions products and systems.
• Terminate low-voltage control wiring and verify I/O connections.
• Load and adjust control programs with support from higher-level specialists.
• Provide basic troubleshooting to ensure systems are operational and defect-free.
• Review and interpret store prints and wiring diagrams with assistance.
• Support new store commissioning and remodel commissioning activities and documentation.
• Maintain accurate and timely completion of all documentation (FSRs, timesheets, expenses).
• Provide basic training to contractors and site personnel on Copeland hardware/software.
