Job summary

Talently is seeking a Field Service Manager to own and grow the field service organization across the Great Lakes region. The role is remote with about 75% travel to customer sites, primarily in the Midwest, with a preference for MI, OH, IN.

You will lead a distributed team delivering uptime, maintenance and retrofit projects for automotive, life sciences, and general industrial clients. You will hire and coach technicians, build training paths, set a culture of safety and accountability, and

Qualifications

Experience leading field service teams or operations.
Knowledge of industrial automation machinery.
Understanding of PLC and HMI systems for troubleshooting.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Grow Field Service department.
Oversee day-to-day service operations and scheduling.
Manage backlog and allocate team to maximize commitments.
Ensure safety and quality standards on every job.
Hire and develop field service technicians and coordinators.
Create training paths and certification programs for technicians.
Set culture of accountability, safety, teamwork and pride in work.
Serve as the top escalation point for service issues and nurture client relationships.
Collaborate with Sales to grow service revenue and preventive maintenance contracts.
