Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to perform maintenance, audits, configuration, and migrations of advanced Honeywell control systems from Charlotte, NC or nearby regions with up to 80% travel. You will support customers, upgrade software, and migrate legacy systems while ensuring minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• 4 years of professional experience in field service, technical operations, industrial maintenance, process automation, heavy manufacturing, prior military experience, or reliability engineering.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time — up to 2 weeks away from home at once (VA, NC, TN)
• Ability to obtain multiple L3 certificates within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers regularly about technical and administrative issues.
• Provide customer support on Honeywell Control Systems and serve as a primary service contact for issues and inquiries.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Honeywell hardware/software (e.g., Experion PKS, LCN, TPS) in live environments.
• Upgrade Experion software from one release to another on live control systems without interrupting industrial processes.
• Migrate legacy Honeywell systems to newer technology offerings while minimizing downtime.
• Understand customer processes and economic drivers to identify business opportunities and provide timely recommendations.
• Assist Sales during pursuits and represent Honeywell to end-users.
• Learn end-to-end product development, delivery, and execution of Honeywell products and solutions.
• Apply technical expertise to improve customer experience with sophisticated Honeywell solutions.
