Job summary
Honeywell is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to perform maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation and upgrades of Honeywell control systems from Charlotte, NC, with up to 80% travel to customer sites across VA, NC, TN and beyond. You will validate requests, build customer relations, and execute migrations and upgrades while ensuring Right and Fast Delivery.
Reporting to the Field Service Manager, this remote role requires strong technical support capabilities, and the
Qualifications
- 4 years of professional experience in field service or related
- Willingness to travel up to 80% (up to 2 weeks away)
- Ability to obtain multiple L3 certifications within 18 months
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support on Honeywell control systems
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Honeywell hardware/software (Experion PKS, DCS)
- Upgrade software on live control systems without interrupting operations
- Migrate legacy Honeywell controls to new technology
- Assist Sales during pursuits and represent Honeywell to end-users
- Understand customer processes and translate into business opportunities
- Learn end-to-end product development and delivery processes
- Use technical expertise to improve customer experience
