Job summary

Emerson Power & Water Solutions is seeking an Associate Field Service Engineer to join our Southeast Virginia support team. You will gain hands-on experience with industrial automation, supporting projects from commissioning to long-term customer care and training.

This role offers mentorship, on-site and remote collaboration, and opportunities to grow within a global automation leader. Residence in the Southeast Virginia region and willingness to travel regionally are required to serve customer

Qualifications

Must have a degree or be close to completing one before employment.
Hands-on engineering experience through internship, co-op, or projects is preferred but not required.
Interest in industrial automation, control systems, or utilities.

Responsibilities

Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of control systems at customer sites.
Learn Emerson technologies and engineering best practices through hands-on training.
Diagnose technical issues with engineers and implement effective solutions.
Assist with installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of automation systems.
Support customer training and ensure proper operation and maintenance.
Travel regionally to support projects and service activities.
