Job summary

Virtek Vision (AMETEK, Inc.) is hiring a Field Service Engineer/Technician for the Northeast USA. This salaried role requires traveling up to 75% within North America, with remote work from home when not traveling.

You will install and service laser-based vision systems, calibrate hardware and software, and train operators across Aerospace, Automotive, and other industries. Ideal candidates have CAD and Windows expertise, strong 3D spatial skills, and a mechanical/electronics background.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Photonics.

Responsibilities

• Install and train customers on laser- and vision-based systems.
• On-site calibration and commissioning of new hardware and software.
• System level troubleshooting.
• Deliver multi-day training courses including hands-on learning at the machine.
• Follow all company quality and safety procedures.
• Provide detailed customer applications and contribute to data collection for new product development and bug reporting/resolution.
