Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, diagnose, and repair ultra-short pulse laser systems and vacuum products for scientific and industrial applications.

You will train customers, coordinate with the factory, and travel across North America for support and training, with potential on-call coverage. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and PC skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, diagnosing, and repairing ultra-short pulse laser systems.
• Ability to instruct customers on operation and maintenance.
• Ability to travel domestically across North America for customers and training.
• Excellent troubleshooting of new electrical, mechanical, and optical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot ultra-short pulse laser systems; optical alignment and subassembly checks.
• Maintain operational functionality of laser equipment and assist customers with operation.
• Instruct customers on operation and maintenance of the system; provide on-site training.
