Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support laboratory equipment installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair. The role is remote-based in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, with extensive travel to customer sites across the territory.

You will diagnose electromechanical issues, work with cross-functional teams, and deliver exceptional customer service while advancing your technical expertise through training and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical certificate or degree in HVAC/Engineering/Electronics preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues with schematics and tools.
Deliver excellent customer service with clear communication.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and identify upsell opportunities.
Develop technical knowledge through training and safety programs.
Schedule visits, respond to communications, and maintain service documentation.
