Abbott is hiring a Field Service Engineer for the Diagnostics Division. This remote, field-based role covers the San Antonio, TX territory with up to 50% travel. You will install and maintain diagnostic systems, diagnose issues, and support customers with proactive service and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in Engineering or Laboratory Technology.
• Ability to travel 50% within the assigned territory.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with laboratory instrumentation.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and remote computing tools (VPN, remote troubleshooting).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and Maintain Diagnostic Systems.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues across multiple instruments.
• Own Customer Satisfaction by managing issues from start to resolution.
• Manage Territory Effectively with planned service visits and inventory control.
