Job summary

Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions Division is seeking a Lead Field Service Electronics Technician based in the greater Columbus, OH area. This remote role requires daily travel to customer sites, with a company vehicle provided for duties requiring on-site work.

You will deliver emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance and reliability of UPS systems and power distribution solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Two years of power systems, battery technologies, and/or electronics experience.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and be able to travel daily to customer sites.
• Associate’s degree in electrical or electronics or current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Electrical Technology Certificate or Electrical State License.
• Ability to read electrical schematic drawings and troubleshoot/test/repair.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support including emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance.
• Travel daily to customer sites and occasionally stay overnight as needed.
• Work with customers as trusted advisors to safeguard operations and maximize uptime.
• Participate in safety audits and ongoing compliance programs.
• Receive ongoing training and field-based mentoring from experienced technicians.
• Utilize provided tools and PPE to perform tasks safely and effectively.
